Dermapen/derma roller is a micro needling treatment. It stimulates the skin and naturally encourages it to repair itself, resulting in smoother, brighter, healthier and younger looking skin.
The Dermapen is a small electronic device with a tip containing six very small needles which are closely spaced together. As the device is slowly and methodically moved across the skin, it punches these tiny needles into the skin at a very fast speed, creating minute holes or columns in the surface of the skin but without leaving any permanent damage. The trauma to the skin encourages new collagen to be generated in the area that has been treated.
Vitamin C serums and Hyaluronic Acid can also be worked into the skin during the time of the treatment which will further enhance the results, giving the skin a nice glow.
Acne scars
The scars left behind after acne can be just as upsetting as the acne itself. For some, micro needling can be a very good treatment to improve the appearance of acne scars.
